Scope the Difference?

Anyways, here you can see the 2 different blasters. 2 sides of the same coin. 2 guns from the same factory line.I thought of getting one and modding it up to look like a 'Steampunk' altered gun. With chrome painting and greeblies attached, it should look like something from a H.G. Wells or Jules Verne adventure. Hhhmmm, ... now I hear the sounds of the wheels in my head moving, ..... ideas forming for the look of a modified Grievous Blaster. Any great ideas, do leave me some comments.

THE GENERAL'S VERSION.

As you can see ..... (Most of you would have already known.) the General Grievous Blaster has minor modifications made, as compared to the standard 'Droid issued Blaster'. Attached scope and linear grip. Has anyone seen a much scaled down 'Droid Blaster'. I believe back in 1999, a 'super soaker' version was released. The handle was small, but it was sleek and Cool. With mods here and there and a very good paint job, it'll look even more stunning. I got to find that. Any interesting features that you know about this blaster, please let me know. Do drop me a line or just leave some comments on your point of view about this blaster.

A View To A Kill!

"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid."
Yup, I can never forget when Harrison Ford poked that line at a 'green' and naive Luke. I was a Kid when Star Wars opened a new World for me in 1977.

Like Luke in 'A New Hope', I was
wide eyed and amazed at the Blasters used by the many characters in the Star Wars universe. Han Solo's statement carried so much truth. Most of the Jedi were killed by blasters, by the Clone Army upon receiving 'Order 66'. In the hands of a Mandalorian Bounty Hunter ..... well, you don't want to be in their 'View to a Kill'.

Ever since Star Wars debut in 1977, I've been mesmerised by the sleek and beautiful blasters, pistols, rifles ... whatever you want to call them, from various SCI-FI movies. Battlestar Galactica, Dune, Terminator, Star Trek, Serenity, Ghost in the Shell .... and the list goes on. Amusement in blasters then got me interested in collecting them. And if I could'nt find them worldwide, then I'm gonna make them.

The journey in searching these prop blasters or 1:1 sized, toy blasters was a very interesting and fruitful one. I've made friends with people from different parts of the World. They are so talented and creative and of course very helpful.

I'll put up steps and techniques on making these props in days to come. That's right, they don't fire beams or projectiles. Just lights and sounds. That's good enough for any fan. Good enough for 'Trooping' or for the next Anime Convention, dressed as a Steampunk Adventurer.

If any of you would like to share your 'Master Piece', I would be glad to put their pics up here. Well, I've just started my Galactic Armory, and I will be retailing some manufactured 'Toy SCI-FI Blasters' here. More of that at the end of this blog.

A 'blaster' that has been getting under my skin is the modified and customised 'Droid Blaster' from the Separatists Army. Yes, its General Grievous personal blaster . There are some differences to the standard issued 'Droid Blaster'. More on these details in my next writeup.
The silver gun in the above pic is very familiar to many SCI-FI fans. I call it the SILVER STOMPER. If you are keen, and a seasoned gunslinger from any part of the galaxy, do get in touch with me. Its US$45 per piece. Shipping galaxywide is US$8 - $11, depending on where you're from. For purchase of this (17.5cm long.) sleek piece for your LARP / Cosplay wardrobe or for display,
